For Heaven’s Sake - Damien Hirst

As he did with his earlier work For the Love of God (see my previous post), Hirst first made a platinum cast of a 19th-century skull (that of a 9-10 month-old infant this time) bought in London. He then set it with 8,128 flawless diamonds; 7,105 pink diamonds cover the skull proper and 1,023 white ones fill in the fontanel.
